Much ado about Fisheries
A fishery is a stock of fish, a place where fish are bred; fish hatchery. A sustainable fishery is one that cannot be depleted or harvested in ways that harm the ocean’s ecosystem.
WOW! The ONLY U.S. fishery to be certified by the strict requirements of the Marine Stewardship Council is Alaskan salmon.

*Six* US fisheries are MSC certified: AK salmon, AK pollock, N Pacific halibut, N Pacific sablefish, Pacific albacore tuna, and OR pink shrimp - and another ten or so are in the process!!
Thanks for the update. It is good to see that the fisheries are being certified.
